Most pictures are in" .JPG "
format 40% compression for faster loading .
To save a picture for Windows wallpaper, RIGHT
click on the full screen picture
, choose " save picture as " ,
change the default file type from
" .jpg " to " .bmp
" save in the windows directory.
TIP
if you are using Active Desktop the pictures can be saved
and used in the .jpg
format without converting to .bmp
Warning if you choose "set
as wallpaper" you will
automatically DELETE
the previous
"set as wallpaper" . So if you want to keep theses pictures it is best
to use "save picture as".
Note
Netscape does NOT have a Save As , convert to .bmp feature
Tile
means a small picture is repeated over and over
to make a full background like tile .
Stretch
Means either enlarge or shrink the
picture to fit the screen size.
If the picture is enlarged too much it will look bad .
